Exciting to see how my book project is mutating into something global. I have been asked to join with Helen Edwards and Steve Wilkinson to work on Project 24,902 + A Million, in which we will be identifying the needs, worldwide, of those who require mobility aids, then working on the logistics of supplying not just any aid, but one that is tailored to each individual in need.
'What we're Wheelie like...' will become the education tool used to raise awareness of the needs and issues of the person with the mobility issue. When a person who could previously walk, becomes immobile, family and friends are often unaware of the everyday issues that cause anxiety, irritation and general frustration for the afflicted and are unsure how to help. 'What we're Wheelie like...' will fill in some of the gaps.
